Level 1 – Hour and a half of the combination of the three elements of Heller Barre Practice® – basic floor barre conditioning, deep stretching with barre and wall, and parallel ballet barre in the center. These are all to give you muscle memory for alignment in kinesiology in anything you do, so long as you incorporate it, and do this on your own. Skeleton and hand out info. given at the beginning of the first two classes. Physics, math, imagery, somatics and use of breathing practices will also be given throughout the classes at key times.

Level 2 – Two hours of the combination of the three elements of Heller Barre Practice® – the next level of floor barre conditioning, deep stretching with barre, wall, props and an actual hour long ballet barre with music and plies, tendues, degages, grand battements, etc. This is to fully incorporate all the muscle memory alignment work into efficient, strengthening, elongating, stretched movement which is also an art. These are all to give muscle memory for alignment in anything you do, so long as you incorporate it, and do this on your own. A quick 5 minute skeleton refresher at the begining of the first class only. There will be connections emphasized as we refer to the skeleton during the barre practice. Physics, math, imagery, somatics and use of breaching practices will be used, and referred to throughout the classes at key times. Hand outs will be on hand if you need any.

So the second hour of Level 2 will be an adult Ballet class. The floor barre work transitions into this in the technical, professional world of dance training. Thus, I am excited to offer this adult beginning Ballet class component to non/post-professionals who truly want to train in alignment, injury prevention, efficient movement patterns which will give them the knowledge, and muscle memory to approach any other fitness activity way more smarter. Of course, this will de-mystify doing the art of Ballet as well.
