For 32 years I have witnessed unlimited miracles in people of all ages, and levels, in my work. People healing from A.C.E. – adverse childhood experiences. People training in the ten Dance Techniques I teach, the two Dance experiences I teach for ALL movement abilities, and my Heller Barre Method®. In choreographic processes, rehearsals, and performances, recital to professional as well, I have seen life changing shifts. Diseases lessen, balance improves, cognitive, neurological pathways are built, clarity on whom they really are, actually experiencing that we are all connected, and strengthened in the brain body. People recovering from addictions, depression, Parkinson’s, M.S., Alzheimer’s, Dementia’s, arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, strokes, brain damage, Fibromyalgia, surgeries, joint replacements, injuries, Debilitating Mental conditions, pain, and…fears.
Emotions, and feelings of well being, knowingness of what the most of who we all really are, and that we, and everything, is truly, indeed, all connected. We can choose to dis-connect from anyone, or anything by dis-connecting from ourselves, but we won’t ever get rid of “us”. Boundaries, while human on planet earth, with other humans, are wonderful too. This clarity I have witnessed through the embodiment of Dance training. Even when I watch students learn my choreography, other’s repertory I teach, and/or discovering their own authentic ways to Dance that no one else does, fosters this embodied knowingness. Dr. Bruce Lipton proves this biologically, and many others scientifically. No more faith required, or thinking any of this is whoo whoo.
Then I have seen those that finally, really, know.
Not just up in their head, intellectually, but in their 6 bodies, mind and the ways that make us scientifically human. In their beingness. THIS is why I STILL teach, choreograph, rehearse clients, and students of ALL ages, and movement abilities, not just professionals, as my vocational, full-time work that I make a living at, while doing my purposes I came as a human to do. This is why I still train myself, in order to demonstrate well for beginners. Because humans need to Dance with others. We need embodied, muscle memory vocabulary of what our brain/body is capable of doing, and choreography, our narrative, our truth, our discoveries, our allowing of ancestors to speak through our embodiment to connect to the larger “us”. The opposite is true too, through inner improv work. We need the improv to know who we are so as to choose to connect in the first place. Improv also has layered, progressional discovery training too.
Come do the one thing everyone’s ancestors have done for thousands of years, on every continent, out of the eight activities they did to stay alive, AND thrive, until only recently – hunted, gathered, did agriculture/prepared/stored food, moved their homes, raised children, became medicine men and women of essential oils and herbs, became master physio therapy body workers, stretched, with some cultures doing Yoga and then ALL cultures…Danced with their Dance Masters. According to the research by Paleo anthropologists, on average, four nights a week. We have forgotten this medicine, this therapy, this simple joy that seems to be too ephemeral to do all this, and yet indeed, it does.
In fact, dynamic movement, dancing, not the same as any other way of moving, was just as important to our ancestors as all of these were. Is it still YOUR medicine too? Why not? Why is how we get our food, the food itself, the places we live in, essential oils, herbs, body work more important than Dancing when children watching, dancing, or knowing you are dancing, is what our ancestors knew to be of the above value without the mounds of research to prove how now? Fears of Dancing, or thoughts of dis missing it’s enormous healings are new forms of thought to our species. Very new, and not valid except for one reason: another way for other humans to control other humans so as to aid in the dis connect of the most of who we really are so they can be controllable in the beliefs other humans have.
For when we dance together, in unison, in contrast, with music, with breath, in silence, we ARE source energy expressing itself delightfully in this eternal, expansive dance of non physical, physical, and non physical. Tis’ why we came to be human.
In deep appreciation to YOU if you have danced with me, or have been witnessed in technique classes. I will never forget how you Danced in your journey. I will never forget the joy, fun, love, and amazement of what your miracles looked like, and energetically felt like.
THAT is the essence of YOU that I will never forget. The most of who you are, a vibrational powerhouse whose consistent focus on anything will indeed bring more of that anything.
I have witnessed your power, and it is tremendous.
Truly fun, and miraculous to behold. We are always mirrors of each other this way too. Our true, and first mirror.

What are the root ways to change habits not just for
half a year,
a year,
or ten years,
but for life,
no matter WHAT you go through?

I have lived this many times throughout my life. Hence, why I have the life I have loved living, especially in the last 8 years: because I expanded in awareness in the Laws of the universe, including the Law of Patterns, through the reading of a dozen books the last 33 years, like the one below, and applying their teachings.
I cared for my beloved husband of 17 years for the last 6 years and 7 months of our marriage, then helping him die, and pass onto the other side from a glioblastoma brain tumor in the left temporal lobe in 2010, while working full-time and raising our daughter. I helped mom pass on in her Chicago home in 2012. I cared for my dad from 2012 till I helped him pass on Oct, 2017, here at his home in Prescott, all while continuing to work full-time, and buying into the family house through sorting, purging, packing, moving, unpacking, sorting and purging again three households, 27 family members items, nationwide with/for him/us. I never stopped practicing, and refining my daily expansion of how to change, and tweak my habits to keep me sane, healthy, grounded, and light hearted enough to always know that truly we are here to do our purposes with love, fun, joy, play, learning, training, skill, passion, perseverance, practice and resiliency.
Knowing how a habit truly worked was a choice in living, or being a victim for me.
Every habit we don’t want comes from feeling “lack”, or “fear” in something. The key is to know which other emotional/thinking habits can feel real good, satisfying to you NOW, today. These are the roots to external addictions/conditions. Knowing why isn’t as important. Knowing how it feels is. They change too, and should, according to what you need in your life day to day. No regrets, no blame, no beating yourself up required. Just learning from old habits, or programming, to know new ones, and committing to them long enough to know when to change them again, at any given time, as needed. It doesn’t take a new year to do this. Just another day, or after a deep nap. Every day is absolutely new.
“Dan Millman’s Law of Patterns, Four Life Purposes – Patterns are often stronger than resolutions. For instance, if you feel badly about yourself, you do that “thing”, that “habit” you said you would never do again. Whether it be over eating, not exercising, drinking every week, smoking every other day. Maybe it’s something you haven’t done all year, and then bam, something happens in your life that triggers you into feeling lousy about yourself for weeks, and the habit is back, even after a year of not doing it.
We break unwanted patterns by first recognizing the power of them first, and then doing something that interrupts it, rather than remaining a victim by repeating it.”
Choose interruptive feelings, thoughts, and/or actions that soothe you. They should FEEL physically, mentally and energetically powerful in the worth of your beingness, such as every, single human can, if you, anyone, chooses to. Without exception, no matter the human life lived. – Mary
“The Law of Patterns is important for anyone who has a pattern of incompletions or repeated failures, like quitting smoking four times. Any pattern tends to repeat itself until we closely examine what’s going on, and intervene to break the pattern by doing something else. In taking responsibility for our patterns we stop endlessly struggling against old habits by doing something different.
1. Consider the energy required to change an accustomed pattern. Could failure to break old patterns result from underestimating the focused awareness and time required to shift to a new one?”
Top addictions that have re-wired one’s brain after a while are meth, heroin, cocaine, sugar, nicotine, and alcohol. Thus, re-wiring your brain to not be addicted to these requires that the root interruptions of feelings, thoughts, and actions be strong, consistent, and every day. Professional hypnotists, along with physio therapist-body workers where the professional also works on all seven of your bodies/brains weekly are excellent starters. I have witnessed addicts recover using these therapies for the root interruption help. – Mary

There is a Dance experience, or training for ANY movement ability. Athletes, those who haven’t exercised in years, to people with Depression, Trust, Mental Disability, Pain, Back mis-alignment, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, MS, Neurodegenerative Disorders, can re-wire the brain even in a chair, such as injured, young dancers do. I myself have four titanium screws with four polylithium spacers between my L4/L5 vertebras in a dynesys stabilization system. If it weren’t for my weekly practice, that I do through muscle memory alignment, and switch up in dynamic movement vocabularies I still train in, I would be in pain sometimes. The professional I go to for my physio therapy, including self soft tissue release ball work, and self somatic Modern Dance technique training ALL keep me pain free, or less of whenever my body is in transition every few years.
It’s way more than exercise, or even dancing, it’s life itself. It’s a social prescription, and dance training has been one of humanity’s health insurance for millenniums.

Btw, British Health Secretary Matt Hancock has said, doctors in the U.K. will soon be able to prescribe dance classes—along with art, music, sports, gardening and more—for patients suffering from conditions as various as dementia, lung problems and mental health issues.
Termed “social prescribing,” these interventions aim to complement more traditional treatment methods and offer an alternative to overprescribing medications. “We’ve been fostering a culture that’s popping pills and Prozac, when what we should be doing is more prevention and perspiration,” said Hancock in a speech earlier this week, as reported by Smithsonian. 11/18′
As the mounds of research proves, some of which is on my homepage, including from medical journals, universities, and the International Dance Medicine Association, I have seen hundreds of miracles in people of ALL ages, first hand, significantly reduce, and heal all diseases after several months of one hour a week, including Alzheimer’s, Stroke, MS, Parkinsons, Fibromyalgia, and Rheumatoid arthritis in doing two particular classes I teach, BOTH BeMoved® & Gentle BeMoved®. I have seen these in the last 9 years I have taught these particular classes on average of 4-5 classes/wk in the Moscow, Idaho and the Prescott area, AZ areas. It’s extremely satisfying to witness how this medicine can treat the root of diseases, as well as bring such JOY, and well being to those in the dying process, and their caregivers, such as with my own father who did both classes 5 years before he passed on in 2017. – Mary Heller
